National Dutch Show Rules and Regulations
This is an official ARBA and ADRC sanctioned show.
The latest revised rules of the ARBA and ADRC will govern the show. Entering the show indicates your acceptance of these rules.
Entry Fee: Open and Youth - $6.00 per rabbit
Open and Youth Fur- $3.00 per rabbit
Entries are due on or before April 13, 2009.
This show will use a no ear number entry process. Entries must indicate the variety, class and sex of each rabbit entered but ear numbers are not required until check-in.
Your entry must indicate if it is Open or Youth. All entries not specifically marked as Youth will be assumed to be Open entries and cannot be changed after April 13th.
Sale coops will be available. Sale coops cost $1.50 each. Must be prepaid, and included on the entry form number coops paying for. Cost for coops not prepaid is $3.00 per coop.

The showroom will be open Friday April 24th from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm to accept entries. The showroom will reopen at 6:30 am on Saturday April 25th. All animals must be in the showroom, check in, and cooped by 11:00 pm Friday, April 24th. Animals will be released on Sunday, April 26th from 7am to 11am. Animals left in the showroom after 11 am Sunday become the property of the Kansas Dutch Rabbit Club. Please check that you have the correct rabbit when you are leaving.
Feed will be provided for the weekend- along with feed & water cups. All show coops have wire bottoms, but sale coops are on hard bottoms with saw dust. Exhibitors are responsible for caring for their own rabbits.
Any animal showing signs of sickness or disease will be removed from the building/showroom- as determined by the superintendent.
While every precaution will be taken to ensure the safety of exhibitors and animals, all entries are made at the owner’s risk. Show personnel, judging staff, carriers, show officials, show staff, and the Kansas State Fair are in no way responsible for the death, threat, or injury of any animals or exhibitors.
In order to receive any specials offered by the American Dutch Rabbit Club, exhibitors must be members of the ADRC.
Parents are responsible for their children at all times.
No smoking will be permitted in the showroom.
Open and Youth Fur Classes
The open and youth fur classes will be judged Friday night. All rabbits entered in fur must also be entered in the regular show. Fur entries are due on the regular entry form by April 13, 2008. All open fur entries will judge as a single class and all youth fur entries will be judged as a single class. Rabbits disqualified in the regular show will also be disqualified from the fur class.
1. All entries in this class are subject to sale to the highest bidder. A minimum of $20.00 is to be set.
2. A 50-50 payback to consignors and American Dutch Rabbit Club will be in effect. (consignors may donate their share to the ADRC)
3. No entry fee required for Seller’s Class. Entries to be given to Seller’s Class Chairman by 10:00 AM Saturday. 25 animal limit – entry list pulled at 10:00 am.
4. Rabbits may or may not be eligible to register. Seller’s Class rabbits do not have to be entered in the show but they can be.
5. All rabbits must have an accompanying pedigree. None will be accepted without pedigree. Rabbits are to have a permanent, legible ear number.
6. The Seller’s Class will be judged as one class without regard to age, sex or color. (The Dutch standard will be the judging guide.)
7. A Youth Seller’s Class will precede the open Seller’s Class.
8. The Seller’s Class will be held at the conclusion of all judging.
9. The winner of the Seller’s Class will receive a trophy from the ADRC, as well as one year’s ADRC membership.
10. The exhibitor whose Dutch receives the highest selling price will receive a one year’s membership in the ADRC. (No duplication of awards if one Dutch wins the class and is the highest selling animal.)
11.The Seller’s Class Committee reserves the right to reject any sick, or poor specimens.
12.PLEASE ENTER ONLY QUALITY ANIMALS. THIS WILL BENEFIT ALL CONCERNED.
13.Limit of two (2) entries per exhibitor. If a trio is entered only one designated Dutch will be judged. A trio will count as one entry in the class.
14.ENTRIES WILL HAVE THEIR CAGES MARKED WITH AN ADRC CAGE TAG. THOSE WISHING TO EXAMINE THE ENTRY SHOULD CONTACT THE EXHIBITOR TO SEEK PERMISSION PRIOR TO THE SELLER’S CLASS.
15.PEDIGREES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING IN THE BINDER AT THE DUTCH BOOTH PROR TO THE CLASS.

Open to ALL ADRC MEMBERS. Entries will be accepted until 5 pm Friday. Rabbits do not need to be entered in the regular show. Cooping will be in sale coops area. We will be judging all fun classes at the same time to allow ample judging time for the regular fur classes, but you may enter all classes. Judging will begin at 6 pm.
Ugliest Rabbit- with Dutch Markings - Best Body Type – Best Buck Head- entry fee for each $3.00 - will use entry fee for payback money.
Best of the Best - $10 – only one entry per person- will be payback class
AOV Class
This class will consist of any variety of Dutch not currently recognized by the ARBA. Pre enter on registration form. Entry fee: $5.00 per animal. AOV must be pre-entered with regular NDS entries.
