Kansas Dutch Rabbit Club
Facilities

The show will be held in the New Rabbit Barn at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, KS. It is a big bright building with everything under one roof from youth activities, sale coops, and rest rooms. Plenty of parking is available on all sides of the showroom.

The barn has permanent cooping with roughly 1,200 coops. J feeders and water cups are provided with each cage. The cages are stacked two high with extra wide aisles that allow several people to walk through at the same time.

Show coops have welded wire floors with solid partitions between coops on the sides and backs. Show coops have drop pans with shavings below the wire. Carriers & supplies may be stored beneath caging. Additional shavings will be on hand. Sale coops may be in poultry cages with solid floors depending on free space in the show room.

Water is accessible from several faucets spaced throughout the building. There are no restrictions for hay or straw in the pens. Feed from Manna Pro will be provided.

The Banquet will be hosted at the Sunflower South Building also on the Kansas State Fairgrounds. See maps for building locations.

Camping is available with electric hookups on the fairgrounds for $15 per night. Contact the General Chairperson for more information.

Hutchinson is generally warm this time of year, but Kansas weather is known for its unpredictability. We recommend packing warm clothing just in case.
